I consider myself a "renaissance woman." I enjoy music, art, photography, dance, cosmology and physics. A scientist is incomplete without creativity and an artist is informed by analytical thought.

A Celebration of Nova

Our little cat, Nova, was taken from us too soon. Here, we celebrate her life. Fortunately, she did not know it was a short life, only complete and wonderful. We loved her with all our hearts and she loved us fully. We thank God for the time we shared with her.

From the moment we adopted her, we were in love. She climbed on us and begged us to keep her. Her ears were too big for her head, but she was an ugly duckling that would grow into a beautiful white swan.
She gazed into my eyes, thanking me for rescuing her from the humane society.

The day she met her new housemate, Deo, there was some bickering but they quickly became best friends. Deo loved her spunk and she took care of him.

Nova enjoyed spending time with Zach. She liked to sleep on his back and sit on his lap.
She was very playful! She loved playing fetch with hair-ties and fake mice and chasing the lazer and feather toy.

She had a sense of humor. We had conversations with her when we got home from work. She would meow and I'd say "and then what?". She sometimes cocked her head to the side when listening to us. She made us laugh.

She was a good party hostess, always willing to say hello to new people. She was trusting. People were impressed with her ability to fetch.

 Adorable and glamorous.

Athletic, long and lean.

I liked to sit with her on the bed and sketch her. She was also the bath cat, she liked to be in the bathroom when the shower or bath was running.

She was a joyful cat. She is an angel. We love you, Nova.
